1. Summary
Mintthicket uses only strictly necessary localStorage entries on your device. We do not set advertising cookies, tracking pixels, analytics cookies, or any third-party cookies. There is nothing on this site that profiles you or follows you elsewhere on the web.
2. Difference between cookies and localStorage
Traditional cookies are small files sent back and forth with every request to a website. localStorage is a separate browser API that stores small values only on your device — those values are never transmitted to our servers. Both are covered by the ePrivacy directive and the Norwegian Electronic Communications Act, so we treat them with the same transparency.
3. What Mintthicket stores on your device
mintthicket.age.ok— set to"1"when you confirm you are 18 or over. Purpose: avoid showing the age gate on every visit. Lifetime: until you clear browser storage.mintthicket.cookies.ok— set to"1"when you dismiss the cookie banner. Purpose: avoid showing the banner repeatedly. Lifetime: until you clear browser storage.mintthicket.coins— a number representing your current virtual coin balance. Purpose: keep your in-parlour progress between visits on the same device. Lifetime: until you reset the balance or clear browser storage.
All three are classified as strictly necessary because they deliver the service you requested when you entered the site. Under Norwegian and EU rules, strictly necessary storage does not require prior consent, but we still display a banner for transparency.
4. Third-party cookies
None. Mintthicket does not embed third-party scripts that set cookies — no Google Analytics, no advertising networks, no social media trackers, no chat widgets.
5. How to remove or block our storage
You can clear local storage at any time from your browser's privacy settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → "Cookies and other site data".
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data → search "mintthicket" → Remove.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data → search "mintthicket" → Remove.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies → See all → search "mintthicket".
Doing this resets your age confirmation, the cookie banner state and your virtual coin balance — you'll start fresh on your next visit.
6. Do Not Track
Mintthicket does not perform tracking, so the browser "Do Not Track" signal has no effect here — there is nothing to honour, because there is nothing to track.
7. Changes
Should we ever add a new storage entry, this page will be updated and the banner re-shown so that anyone returning to the site is informed.
